Year 5 Class

Year 5

We welcome Mr Yeomansas the Class Teacher in Year 5 at St Mary's. He is supported by highly experienced Teaching Assistants who support Year 5 pupils in all areas of teaching and learning.

Pupils in Year 5 enjoy sports and PE, computing, art, design, cooking, music and singing, and will perform in productions and assemblies throughout the year. Pupils also have the opportunity to take swimming lessons, can learn to play an instrument and join the school choir.

In the Autumn Term Year 5 pupils have the opportunity to visit Alton Castle (a Catholic retreat centre located in Alton in Staffordshire) on a three-day residential course.
