Year 6 SATs Results 2016
The results for St Mary’s Year 6 SATs results are now available. They are listed next to the national comparison. The vast majority of our children have met the new higher expected standard. Well done to all our Year 6 pupils, their teachers past and present and parents who have put so much effort and hard work into achieving these super results.

Public Sector Equality Duty
Like all Public Sector workplaces St Mary’s is bound by Public Sector Equality Duty .
The public sector equality duty consists of a general equality duty, which is set out in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 itself, and the specific duties which came into law on the 10th September 2011 in England and 6 April in Wales (27th May 2012 in Scotland) legislation. The general equality duty came into force on 5 April 2011. In summary, those subject to the equality duty must, in the exercise of their functions, have due regard to the need to:
- Eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation and other conduct prohibited by the Act.
- Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not.
- Foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not.
