Forest School

The concept of Forest Schools was developed from the Scandinavian education system and is about children building self-esteem and independence through exploring and experiencing the natural world.

Mrs Chung is our Forest School Leader and works with groups of Key Stage 1 pupils throughout the year. The aim is to get our pupils thinking about the environment and how to look after it. They work in small groups, exploring nature, building dens, creating mud art, digging for worms, looking at the different seasons, studying wildlife and birds.

  • Building Shelters & Natural Habitats
