Mrs Woodhouse is the Class Teacher in Year 5. She is also a member of the Senior Management Team at St. Mary’s. As Deputy Headteacher she also has responsibility for English throughout the school. She is supported by highly experienced Teaching Assistants who support Year 5 pupils in all areas of teaching and learning.
Pupils in Year 5 enjoy sports and PE, computing, art, design, cooking, music and singing, and will perform in productions and assemblies throughout the year. Pupils also have the opportunity to take swimming lessons, can learn to play an instrument and join the school choir.
In the Autumn Term Year 5 pupils have the opportunity to visit Alton Castle (a Catholic retreat centre located in Alton in Staffordshire) on a three-day residential course. Here they enjoy fun activities including team sports, leisure and meditation time. To find out more:
