The following Term Dates lists main Holiday Dates, End and Start of Term Dates and Teacher Training/Inset Days.

Teacher Training Days 2019/2020

Warwickshire C.C Term, Holiday & Training Days

 

Training Days are W.C.C. set days, the other 3 will be of the school's choosing.

 

May Day Bank Holiday 2020 NOW MOVED to FRIDAY 8th May for 75th VE Celebrations.

School Times

 

Infants - Reception Class or Foundation Stage & Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2)

  • 8.55 am to 12.00 noon
  • 1.00 pm to 3.15 pm

 

Juniors - Key Stage 2 (Years 3,4,5,6)

  • 8.55 am to 12.20 noon
  • 1.20 pm to 3.20 pm

 

Hours of Tuition

 

The time devoted to teaching in a normal school week (excluding registration, assemblies, mid-session breaks and lunchtimes is:

  • 21 hours INFANTS (Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1)
  • 23.5 hours JUNIORS (Key Stage 2)

 

Entering the School Grounds

 

St. Mary’s School Car Park is for the use of staff only. Parents – please use the community car park at the top of Pool Road.

 

PLEASE  NOTE  - The leisure centre car park is not to be used by parents for drop off or pick-ups.

For your own safety, please do not cross St. Mary's staff car park when walking into or out of the school grounds. Please use the central footpath leading to the school's main entrance doors from Pool Road.

 

Arrivals

 

All pupils (both Key Stages) must be delivered to the front Infants Playground as the gate to the Junior Playground (on the left) is security code locked throughout the day.

 

Children in Key Stage 1 classes will be received by their class teachers at their respective doorways. Children in Key Stage 2 should follow the footpath around the rear of the building and wait in the Key Stage 2 playground for the bell to ring.

 

Children should not be left unsupervised on the school site before 8.45 am. The gate to the infants playground will be security code locked at 9.00 am. Children arriving late are to be delivered to the front office. Please ring the reception foyer bell and a member of staff will let pupils in. All lateness will be recorded.

 

Departures

 

At the end of the school day Key Stage 1 pupils will remain with their class teacher. Teachers will hand-over pupils to their respective parent or representative only. Pupils should be collected at 3.15 pm from the front playground – class room doorways.

 

At the end of the school day Key Stage 2 pupils should be collected at 3.20 p.m. and will be released into the front playground for parental or representative collection.

 

Teachers must be notified if other family members or friends will be collecting a pupil. Any child not collected will be brought back into school for their own safety. Please telephone the school if you are to be delayed.
