Music & Singing

Music & Singing in our School

At St. Mary's we love to play music and we love to sing. Throughout the academic year all pupils will be involved in music and singing sessions, from Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 - playing percussion and sound instruments, to Key Stage 2 - playing in our school orchestra or performing in our school choir and become liturgy singers.

Pupils have the opportunity of learning to play the Violin from Year 3. In Year 4 options are widened to include other wind instruments ie Recorder, Clarinet and Flute, brass instruments ie Trumpet and French Horn, string instruments ie Cello and Guitar, Keyboard and Piano. Peripatetic music tutors from Warwickshire County Music Service come into school weekly to teach the above instruments and music bills are issued termly.
