Congratulations to Mrs Tyrrell and the Fairtrade Council who successfully completed the re-accreditation process so that our school can continue to call itself a ‘FairAchiever School’. We were first accredited 'FairAchiever School' status back in May 2016 following our efforts to secure 'FairActive and FairAware School' certification in previous years. We are very proud to be able to call ourselves a 'FairTrade School'.
We are officially a Fairachiever School - the highest award that a school can get. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your hard work:- big breakfasts, lessons, assemblies, traidcraft stalls, displays, folders, newsletter articles, moral support etc. Helen Tyrrell
There are three stages to the award, FairAware, FairActive and FairAchiever (which is equivalent to our current Fairtrade Schools Award.) Throughout these three stages our school has learnt about Fairtrade and has actively got involved in the promotion and awareness of Fairtrade, therefore making a difference in the lives of marginalised farmers and workers.
